Welcome to our extensive range of agricultural
buildings.
In these days of tight margins and generally increased financial
pressures the farming industry can only survive if operating at
absolute maximum efficiency. To achieve this the right buildings
for the job are essential.
It is with today's farmer in mind that we have specially designed
a range of highly successful steel-framed buildings for either
self-erection or expertly built for you by our own erectors to
suit individual needs.
The range includes buildings covering all farming applications
from grain stores for the arable farmer to stock sheds for the
dairymen. We design the building to suit your space – no
matter what shape you have in mind.
All buildings comply with BS 5502 agricultural standard and are
built to a high specification.
DeVille & Lear are members of the Rural
Design & Buildings Association.
There are as many different systems for housing as there are
breeds of cattle. Over the last 50 years we have been involved
with most types of systems used within the farming world.
We will give you free advice and guidance on any scheme you have
in mind.
Ventilation is of paramount importance in any stock building and we
will give you free advice and guidance on any scheme you have in mind.
We make our own hinged doors and sheeted gates and these can be
in either a painted or galvanised finish.
We are happy to supply FREE cost comparisons against alternative
buildings to suit your particular size and requirements.
We also make buildings to house sheep, pigs and other farm animals - let us know
your requirements and we will produce a design.
Bulk storage on floors, for any type of crop, against thrust
resistant panels calls for very careful design. High stresses
are created during these situations within the steelwork, so adequate
safety margins must be built into the design of the structure.
Our experience in this field is well-known, our buildings feature special thrust resistant
walls using either pre-stressed concrete panels or profiled high tensile steel grain walling.
Careful consideration is given to the cladding materials used and insulation material is vital
for potato stores.
Our package includes roller shutter doors, personnel access doors, stirrer beams,
steelwork and timber retaining panels to protect the doors from the crop.
In certain areas we can provide an all-inclusive price including concrete floors
and grain drying equipment - contact us and we will put you in touch with our nearest specialist.
LEAN-TOS: If a lower height of building is acceptable a lean-to is always an economical form of structure.
It can be used whether forming a part or whole new complex or attached to an older existing building.
EXTENSIONS: Almost any building can be extended in length or width - even concrete framed buildings.
If you have an awkward space to fill, why not ask for our advice?
Quite
often an agricultural building will still be structurally sound
but in need of new sheeting materials. This is often due to the
age of the materials and the environment, especially with cattle
buildings.
We undertake all sorts of cladding work from simple sheet replacement to whole new roofs.
Conversion work is also undertaken have you ever wondered about the cost of converting the
redundant cattle building into a machinery store?
Curved roof barn work is another side of our business. You can decide to maintain the curved roof design or
replace it with a new pitched roof fixed to the existing stanchions.
All steelwork is shot-blasted at our works and painted in two coats of paint comprising a high
quality primer followed by a top coat in a colour to choice. The paintwork is further touched up
on site to cover up marks left by the steel erection process.
Alternatively, we offer a hot-dipped galvanised finish which increases the life span of the
steelwork and is recommended in particular on cattle buildings.
